Institutional Research
What is Institutional Research?
The UAIR institutional Research team ensures the university meets its regulatory reporting obligations while also providing valuable insights for executive leadership. The team oversees compliance reporting, as well as survey reporting for institutional rankings such as U.S. News & World Report, and QS World University Rankings. Additionally, this team compiles and produces summarized official data for the public, and produces comparisons to peer institutions on critical performance metrics. Visit Inside U Data for official U numbers (embedded link to the Inside U Data page).
Essentially, the Institutional Research team is the home of official numbers. What are “official numbers?” They are the data, statistics, and figures about the U that have been verified and authenticated by UAIR. Official numbers are clearly defined in terms of what they include, how they are calculated, and a reference point for the time at which they were calculated. Often official numbers are those that have been reported to, and validated or authenticated by, widely recognized authoritative bodies such as the state (USHE), or the federal government (IPEDS).
